    I’m Homed

A great day with the weather again. Thanks to our Wednesday walkers, were were back up to our full team today. This afternoon cool coats were required. The remnants from the party are now a thing of the past. From what I have heard everyone who attended thought it was a great success, thanks again for your generosity, a fantastic amount raised. Now working on the next event. We had a visit from the lovely Vegas, Daisy Mae, there mom and aunt. They came in before heading home to Cornwall in a few days. Vegas made herself at home on the bed in the office. Daisy Mae was fitted for a harness. Otherwise a quiet day for visitors. All dogs were tucked up with the fans on in the kennel blocks.

Had a call from Julie all the way from Spain today. :)) She said to let everyone know Teddy is loving his new home! He gets to go for a walk on the beach every morning; before it gets too hot and then takes a siesta on his bed underneath the air con! He has a new favourite treat...a custard danish supplied by the local Aldi store and generally lives a life of luxury. 🙂 He has already made friends with the neighbourhood dogs and is a firm favourite with the owner of the local cafe who supplies him with a pillow to rest his head while Julie and Mick drink their coffee. :)) How the other half lives!! So happy for Teddy, think about us occasionally lad especially when you are strolling along the beach! Lots of love to you all. Xxx

    I’m Homed

It was another lovely day, we are getting spoilt now! :)) Ruth joined us for the morning :)) Tig and Momma looked good and Cash is feeling so much better after having extra tlc at home with Ruth and Andy. Xx We completed adoption paperwork for a lovely little girl called Amber. Her new Mom has had her on foster from another branch and we were asked to help out making her 'official' Such a very sweet girl. Most of the party remains have been tidied away, had a bit of trouble with a couple of the gazebos...could not get them to fold down!! Hoping Alan will be able to help us on Thursday.:)) Eating more of Seana's cake helped us get over the disappointment of not being able to take all of the Gazebos down!!! It' was delicious, thank you. Xx Xxx

Had the pleasure of taking lovely Paige out for a walk this afternoon. She was fantastic, she walks beautifully by your side and looks at you occassionally for reassurance which I found super endearing. She's shared a kennel with Wendy for a very long time before they came into the trust and you can see how much they rely on each other. I really hope anyone looking at either of these girls would consider taking them both as they're like life companions and it would be so sad to see them split up, both girls are so very sweet and not at all boisterous.xx

So pleased to hear Harry is getting on so well. I have a big soft spot for him - not just because he's related to my Rainbow Bridge boy Bert (who had a lovely gentle nature and lived to the ripe old age of 13 1/4). Thanks for the update. x

    I’m Homed

I have been taking Cach home with me for a few days and she has been the absolutely perfect house guest. She is quiet, clean in the house, can be left for several hours and is a happy content girl. She mastered the stairs in seconds after seeing Tigger and Momma bound up them too! She is a big girl and loves laying on her back with her legs in the air - a sign of a contented lass. She loves her walks so does pull a little but nothing that is too much to handle - after all she is now having walks across the fields and that is very exciting with all the smells, sights and sounds! As I go in for my operation in a couple of weeks, it will break me to return her to the kennels so I am desperate to find her a lovely new home. Please give me a call if you are interested on 0121 782 7702. The only thing against her is her age as she will be 7 in October and she has a slight limp which when she is speyed in September she will be x-rayed and the Trust will cover the costs of this.
