Over the Rainbow Bridge
Very sadly Misty went to Rainbow Bridge recently. Her family are heartbroken and say the sofa is too big without her. Their time together was far too short. Lots of love from all her family. Xxx

Sars has been and had her tests done today and came back all clear, she is now waiting to be seen by a cardiologist at telford. Hopefully everything is ok 🙂

So, mom ignored me for hours today. She was in the kitchen sitting in front of a machine that made a whirring noise. Turns out she was making a summer cover for my bed out of a king size sheet. Think that I might forgive her then.... Last night I went to the beach, yeah! When I’d finished running mom and TC took me to look out over the bay, they were excited as they could see a dollthing, don’t know what they were going on about, I could only see a fish thing that kept coming out of the water. While I waited for them a nice lady gave me a dog treat. Third one I’d got in one day by being cute! BARNEY - I hear I’m coming to see you next week, soooo excited, moms booked Daybreaks run so we can see auntie Kate and maybe auntie Jo? Auntie Ruth is unwell though. Get well soon Auntie Ruth. Lubs to all. Florence xxx

With a trainer comment saying he loves his food there is no doubt he's related to Ellie!. I bet he's just as lovely as Ellie too by the looks of things,hope I get to see him before he's snapped up xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

One word sums up today at Daybreaks - wet!! It was absolutely horrendous, needless to say the doggies couldn't get out and had to make do with a spell out in the feeding runs having a play and a groom. We welcomed 3 lovely new Greys to the family today. Billy & Bubbles were kennelled together at their Trainer's kennels, so were happy to explore their new surroundings together. Our French students gave them both a lovely warm bath, and they polished off their dinner before happily retiring to their new kennel together. Billy is a little bit wary, but Bubbles is a friendly girl who likes to give kisses. Vicky arrived a couple of hours later, she is very pretty and just a little bit wary. She enjoyed her bath and did eat most of her dinner. All the new sights, sounds and smells at Daybreaks must be a real shock to the system for these dogs that have spent such a long time in their familiar racing kennels environment. Hope they all have a good night, and that their stay with us is a short one. The doggies did manage to get some exercise this afternoon as, in the brief respite from the monsoon, some went out on short walks and I took the rest into the sand run. The heavens opened again just as I was taking Dan back to his kennel and the walkers were on the return leg of their last walk! Vicky, Billy & Bubbles weren't impressed about getting wet again!! Massive thanks to those that braved the elements and came along to help out today, our French students are really not sure about "le temps anglais"!! It is the Great Global Greyhound walk on Sunday, a worldwide event that really raises the profile of Greyhounds as pets - we are walking at Brueton Park in Solihull and if anybody would like to take one of the kennel dogs along please give us a call on 0121 782 7702. Well the weekend is here again, and it is time for me to make my usual wish, accompanied by a glass or two of wine (purely medicinal you understand after the soaking we all had today!!).
