2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Rest of my post!.... Fingers crossed Annie and Harry get on well together and keep each other company. Poor Robbie. The first time I walked him was along the road (turn right out of the kennels rather than left) and he walked well. The second time I walked him was down the lane. When he was moving he was fine, but he stopped at the point we turn around and took some coaxing to get moving. On Sunday Simon walked him and it took a lot more coaxing to get him going, but once he got moving he was ok until he decided to stop again! He's loose on the lead when he does move so hopefully he'll get over his anxiety when he gets his forever home. Hopefully the right person will come along soon. I'm starting to put names to my volunteer days. For example, there's the "mystery of the Greggs vegan sausage roll" day (either Skip or Sam [SKIP!] got 2 of Jo's sausage rolls!) and Sunday was the "how to track a lost tracker" day. One of the dogs shook off the tracker down the lane. Between us all we managed to locate it with Bella looking at the GPS and Robert listening out for the beep - it was quite deep in the hedgerow so it was a good test. Every day at the kennels is wonderful and I highly recommend being a volunteer. Lynne x

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

It was lovely to see Dan reserved today. He is such a very happy, friendly lad. His new Mom has lots of plans for places they can go together. 🙂 x As Annie and Harry were both on their own after seeing their kennel mates go home at the weekend we have paired them up together. 🙂 Touch wood they seemed to like each other! Xx Despite being a little late with morning walks all the dogs went out and enjoyed the sunshine....except for Robbie who just didn't want to go 🙁 He has been used to walking around a paddock doing his own thing at his Trainers kennels. It will take him a while to get used to street walking. Xx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. Xxx

Having walked the totally fabulous harry this afternoon, I agree with LM, he is brilliant. He's a tall dog which is lovely because you can stroke him whilst he walks calmly by your side. What a stress buster!!!! It is so lovely to see his gentle nature.Having lost his kennel mate Rosie to foster, he is now with another lovely girlie (Annie I think) and they seem to be fine. Massive cuddles for him tonight xxxxxxx
