Amber had been fostered from another branch of the Greyhound Trust. We were asked to complete her adoption paperwork, which we were very happy to do! 🙂 Wishing Amber and her lovely new Mum lots of happy times together! Super homing photo. 🙂 Sending you both my cuddle tonight. Kate Xxx

Update on Harry Has found his bark and waggy tail. Eating well i think he has put on a bit of weight Coat improving brushing him with conditioning spray.. Still very nervous of people when we go on walks and doesn't like the TV at all retires to the utility until its off so I take his bed in there before i put the TV on apart from that he seems quite happy. Cach

I have been taking Cach home with me for a few days and she has been the absolutely perfect house guest. She is quiet, clean in the house, can be left for several hours and is a happy content girl. She mastered the stairs in seconds after seeing Tigger and Momma bound up them too! She is a big girl and loves laying on her back with her legs in the air - a sign of a contented lass. She loves her walks so does pull a little but nothing that is too much to handle - after all she is now having walks across the fields and that is very exciting with all the smells, sights and sounds! As I go in for my operation in a couple of weeks, it will break me to return her to the kennels so I am desperate to find her a lovely new home. Please give me a call if you are interested on 0121 782 7702. The only thing against her is her age as she will be 7 in October and she has a slight limp which when she is speyed in September she will be x-rayed and the Trust will cover the costs of this.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Another warm and sunny day! I was able to go on one of the walks this morning, I had the pleasure of the company of Paige and my own Skippy. :)) Paige was a delight to walk. Xx The dogs all had extra treats with their dinners this afternoon. There was porkpie, sausages and sausage rolls left over from the party, they all loved them. :)) There was homemade cake for the rest of us! :)) Steve brought Louis in for a visit this morning. He did a little work while he was here and met a few of the Greyhounds. They were all great with him. Xx Thanks to everyone for their help today. We have put most things away after yesterday's party, only the Gazebos to take down tomorrow. A special get well wish for two of our regular volunteers, Declan who has sprained his ankle and to our lovely Yvonne who has fractured her wrist. :(( Do hope they will both be fit and well and back at the kennels as soon as possible. Lots of love Xxx Xxx

I am pleased to report that after Willows nasty turn yesterday she is now back to 'normal'. In Willow speak this is eating, having treats, whining for more treats and chasing around the garden with the others for no apparent reason, and tearing around with her favourite Mr Pheas! Thanks for everyone's help and support yesterday, it was very much appreciated. I think that a lot of people thought that she was an oldie girl, she is 8 and does look older than her years but certainly does not act it! She has always been fit and well and is still a blood doner, so was a little scary. Hopefully now I can breathe a sigh of relief, that is until she has a dental later this month. Thanks again, oh, and she recovered enough to have a photo shoot with lovely Lucy and Nearly Vet Nurse Jess her assistant!!

Dessy

Lovely to meet the new dogs today, especially the irrepressible Dessy. He loves humans, kisses, cuddles (givingand receiving), being out of his kennel. When I managed finally to get his collar and lead on him (he was uber excited) he dragged me to the gate and down the drive, did a huge wee and then walked beautifully on a loose lead. What a super character. Xxxx
