2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
It was a sad day at Daybreaks today. We heard the news about Jack and also another old time ex resident, now both running free of pain and playing at Rainbow Bridge. Alan, Pam & Paddy then came to scatter Spritz's ashes in the memorial garden. Thankyou to them for letting Ruth, Jo and I share in the very emotional occasion - the brave, beautiful girl is now running free of pain and cares at the Bridge, playing with all her pals. Pam also planted two lovely plants in the garden which will grow and flower in Spritz's memory. It was a warm and sunny day and the doggies were able to have a walk down the shady lane this morning. This afternoon was sand run playtime and grooming & cuddling time! Bolt, Dan and Bell particularly enjoyed the extra attention they got and stood beautifully to be brushed. Not sure the boys appreciated smelling of sweet pea & vanilla at the end though!! Harry is such a handsome boy but so, so nervous. He has to be coaxed out of his kennel and is very wary of everything bless him. He did let Ruth give him a groom though, and does enjoy his food, so hopefully in time he will gain some confidence and realise that he is safe and nothing will hurt him. It was the last day today for our 2 work placement students Stan and Charlotte. They bought us some lovely flowers to say thankyou as they said they had really enjoyed their time with us. We will really miss them - sending them very best wishes for the future. Little Miss Tig went to the Vet for a dressing change this morning, then spent the rest of the day in the office. She is such a brave girl, and is being very good wearing her cone and negotiating life with an external frame attached to her leg! The weekend is upon us again, and I make my usual wish for red signs for our boys and girls. After such a sad day, give your hounds an extra cuddle tonight and I raise my glass to toast all our beauties running at the Bridge. Have a good weekend one and all. Angie xx

This afternoon we sprinkled poor Spritz ashes at the memorial garden at Daybreaks. It was lovely for Angie, Ruth and Jo to be there too. We are sure Spritz is running with the Daybreaks gang and Sara is looking after them all. I can say hello to her on my way past on Thursdays too so this was the best place for her to rest in peace xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Hi Shaz & Jim, thank you so much for your offer of items for the donation table.very kind of you. It would be lovely to see you all again. Xx A beautiful day lots of sunshine! Bell had to have an early bath. She managed to lie in poo in her kennel overnight! Declan gave her a quick bath, she soon dried out in the sun. :)) Ruth brought Tig in. She spent the day in the office with her Momma. She was such a good girl except for eating half a bag of puff jerky! Xx Thanks so much to everyone who came in to walk the dogs and help with cleaning and feeding. Nearly everyone who visited today fell in love with Harry. :)) He is a big gentle giant who just needs lots of help to understand the big wide world. Xx Must go to bed now...having four lovely Greyhounds snoozing all around me always makes me drop off! :))) Xxx
