I am just saddened to read this, I have a soft spot for this beautiful boy, he should not have to find himself back in kennels at his age, if this is through no fault of his own then hopefully somebody will give him the home he deserves, good luck Hector xxxx

Hello friends, time for a quick update on our lovely boy. He's well and happy, enjoys his walks, likes his cuddly toys and is generally a very settled lad in Yorkshire. He's often seen on cat patrol as there are plenty on the street where we live. Xxx

Hector has sadly been returned to Daybreaks due to an incident which was not his fault. His owner is very upset but we understand and support her reason for return. He has been in a home since the end of December. Hector is extremely affectionate, good with other breeds (large and small), walks well on the lead and is clean in the house and can be left. Since being returned Hector is visibly depressed and it is breaking our hearts. If you think you could offer him a home or could even foster him, please give us a call.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

What a glorious day! Thanks atos always to our Wednesday walkers. We had more volunteers this afternoon so all dogs who could go for a walk had 2 lovely walks in the sunshine without wearing coats. Many also had some lovely grooming done. A battle of wits with Mr Treaty this afternoon, trying to put his fleece back on ready for bed ended out being a 2 man job! He refused to get up so he was man handled, rolled around and turned over, honestly he thinks it is a big game and I am sure that he was smiling at us, the monster. He is a lovely boy and would be a fantastic pet. Once that task was finally completed all dogs were tucked up and ready for bed. Thanks so much again for all the help today. Xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Another trip to the vet this morning, this time Mikey went for his neutering operation. He was a really good boy and found himself a girlfriend while he was there! A beautiful Greyhound called Charity. She was homed from Daybreaks a few years ago. She had a lump removed from an ear and was sporting a lovely blue spotty bandage! Neither she or Mikey wanted to leave the vets...it was love! Great to see Charity's lovely family again and we hope her ear heals quickly. Xxx Thanks to Norman for taking Debs for a trip to the park this morning. She came bouncing back into the kennels. Hope it won't be long before she finds her forever home. Xx Treaty was also full of the joys of spring! He had just had his dinner and Gloria was trying to put his fleece on for bedtime...he took it off her shook it a little and threw it on the floor then danced away. So funny to see. He really is a character! Xx Thanks so much to everyone for their help and thank you Lucy for the fab new photos of some of the dogs. :)) x Xxx

Ah what a lovely post and mand, even though i dont know you i can totally relate to how you have been feeling (thank goodness i still have my jet) as have lost many cats over the years, all who individually break your heart when they leave but then they send us another (ok 5 but you get the gist) to help put the smile back on our face and 100% sounds just like what your angel gent has done...he'd be so proud of his mommy and what a wonderful life the lucky george is clearly going to have! Brought tears to my eyes reading your post but also tears of happiness! Lots of love to you all xxx

So life has been boring recently, the beach has disappeared - well I haven’t been for ages, mom says it’s because of my crucial ligament! Short walks because I cut my paw... yesterday we went to Pets at Home and I saw some bunzies. I was good, really good and just looked - intently. Today we once again went to Pets at Home, I knew where we were so jumped out of the car and headed purposely to see them. Wonder if I can have one? Lubs to all Florence xx
