"Delightful Debs" was a star on her visit to Brueton Park today. Friendly towards all the dogs she met and travelled and walked well. A fabulous lass with the most beautiful waggy tail you will ever see !!

Lovely homing photo - wishing you all many happy years ahead. George is indeed gorgeous and a lucky boy to have found his forever home, just hope he doesn't destroy too many of Emily's toys or she wont be too happy! xx

This is just so lovely to read. - and confirms what greyhound owners know - that the right dog finds us. All we have to do is keep our hearts open. Gorgeous George is one handsome chap. What larks you will all have. I had my own Gorgeous George - a brindle - and he was with me until he was almost 16. So reading about your George brought back happy thoughts of him. Daisydog sends many many happy wags from the seaside and thinks Emily is a very lucky girl. Xx

George (Torc)
I’m Homed
To all our Greyhound friends and those we’re yet to meet, we’re delighted that George (aka Torc) has joined our family. Those of you who know us, remember that we lost our beloved boy Gent last November. He was my first love and I miss him dreadfully. We still have Emily, but she’s a devoted Daddy’s girl. If the truth be told, I felt a bit lost. Enter Torc. A handsome little fella with eyes that would melt any heart and the softest fur. His only problem was wound on his tail and an unhealthy taste for Vet-wrap and cotton-wool. He was in serious risk of losing part of his tail. Would a couple of days away from kennels help lift his mood? What was only thought to be overnight has turned into forever for us all. He lost his appetite for Vet-wrap and the wound has pretty much healed now - we even stopped using his protective collar and muzzle after a few days. Emily, his much older sisfur, has been mummying him a bit, although stares in shock at the state of her toys now (missing limbs and white fluff everywhere!!). George has returned the shine to my eyes and we couldn’t be happier that he seems to enjoy spending time with us too. We look forward to many adventures together, which start on Saturday morning when we attend our first Greyhound training class with Julie. Thanks to everyone for your kind words and for Kate and Ruth especially, who trusted us to look after George in the first place. Mand and Gorgeous George xxxxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Willow and I took Kennel sisters Annie and Thena to the vet this morning for the first part of their vaccination. They were both brilliant in the car and settled straight away. When we arrived at the vets there was a very small fluffy dog in the waiting area. Thena was very calm with her, Annie was rather more interested but only to say Hello! They were so good when they saw the vet, very well behaved little girls. :)) If anyone is looking for an "instant" Greyhound family these two pretty girls would be wonderful together. :)) x It was fantastic to see George and Mand this afternoon, a real pleasure to see him go home a member of the family! His tail is looking good thanks to their care. 🙂 He is a very lucky boy. Xx Thanks so much to everyone who helped out today. Sending lots of love to our lovely Yvonne who isn't well and couldn't come in today...she made me laugh when she said she would miss her fix of cleaning up the poo! Get well soon. Xx Xxx

Norman has been with me now since September 2016. He has grown a lot more grey (must be living with me!), won a number of best rescue's and every single person who meets him falls in love with him. He has a girlfriend (a lurcher called Tai) and loves his monthly maintenance massages from me (I am a clinical canine massage therapist).

Nerys

I am very pleased that Nerys has found a lovely home thanks to our roadshows. We are one big team, roadshows, kennels, home checkers and everyone who volunteers. I have organised and helped out on roadshows for 11 years and seen many a dog rehomed as a result. We always encourage kennel dogs to be brought to a roadshows but sometimes the location and situation is stressful for them and the welfare of the dogs in our care is of paramount importance. so isn't always possible. Have a lovely retirement Nerys. Here's to many more dogs finding their forever homes.
