2019 Daybreaks Diary!

What was with the weather today, fine then cold and so windy this sfternoon? Thanks as ever to our Wednesday walkers and to Louise and Paul who stayed for very windy cold afternoon walks. It was a quiet day for visitors. We lost our WiFi too, so a massive thanks to Rorys dad for coming in on his lunch break to get us back up and running. Thanks Rob, very much appreciated 🙂 We had 2 new visitors who want to join our fab gang of volunteers, they were really impressed with the kennels, this is really a huge testament to Ruth's hard work and commitment over the years. Not much else to report really, as always the doggies were tucked up warm and cosy for the night with their under bed heating on! Looking forwards to our spring fayre and afternoon tea on Saturday..how fantastic that all tickets sold and Angie now has to do 2 tea sittings! I have suggested to her our next event should be a cheese and wine evening!! I think that she, Ruth and I would enjoy that!!

I'm the lucky lady who is hopefully going to be taking this beautiful boy home. He's going to fill the greyhound shaped hole in our lives left after our lovely lad died last week. I can't wait to get him home for a cuddle. He met his (human) little brother and sister today and he was so gentle.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Met our two new arrivals Conte and Pearl today. They are both very friendly, happy dogs! Xx It was great to see Freddie reserved today! He is such a super lad. So good to see the boys finding homes. It was a little chilly this morning but at least the sun was out. All the dogs seemed to enjoy their walks. I even got chance to join a walk this afternoon. I took Nerys and my skippy along the lane. Nerys walks lovely on the lead. :)). After diner this afternoon Nerys decided to help clear up the run. She ate Nicol's poo!!! :(( Despite being a little strange 🙂 (aren't we all sometimes) Nerys is a lovely little girl who just needs a super home as soon as possible. Xx Little Tig and her Momma came in with Ruth today. Tig was quiet for a change! :)) Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. Xxx

I may be taking her to a roadshow on Sunday so hopefully she will make a great impression. As you say she is a great placid girly when out on her walks and she is so very pretty too. I shall do my best to fly the flag so to speak!!!!

Over the Rainbow Bridge
It is never easy saying goodbye or saying hello to another prospective boy or girl but I firmly believe that if we work through the pain barrier we carry on the legacies left behind by our previous four legged beauties. I am 100% confident that no rainbow bridge boy or girl would tell their parents to not help another in need and indeed would be blessing them with their love and thanks for having firstly adopted them and then being brave enough to move forward and help another. Congratulations Michelle and Roy. It is a wonderful thing you have done and we wish you every success and happiness with this gorgeous boy. Seana, Melly & Teddy x

This new boy is very handsome and very friendly. He walks well on the lead, was responsive to the 'wait' command and enjoyed his strokes. He was a little bit spooked by a big lorry but settled quickly with some reassurance xxxxx
