2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Morning from Mr Nick! Although still wobbly (not surprising as I’ve seen the bent bit on the metal gate) and still bleeding (but sides of his face look like they’ve been in contact with a grater) he is bright and just wobbled up to the sand run to empty out, had a biscuit and is crashed out on our bed! Seeing the footage on the cameras I can only say I am just so relieved he didn’t kill himself... he was on the ground passed out for over 6 minutes. I’m grateful to Kate, Sara and Lucy for taking him to the vets and only phoned Andy to say what had happened when they were on their way down the Coventry Road heading to the vets! He’s ok yayyyy and I’ll be working on squirrel lunging training!

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Ha ha, not put me off. He will have his work cut out trying to pull me... i am about three times the size of you girls????. I have a friend who's dog chased a rabbit once and ran into a tree and knocked itself out. My mate picked him up buy his four feet and draped the dog across his shoulders and carried him home.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Thanks to our Nick we had a very stressful end to the day! He had just been in the run with Sara when the poor lad decided to try and run through the gate on the drive without opening it first! He was in hot pursuit of a pesky Squirrel and was too strong for Sara to hold onto. He collapsed to the floor and had cut his face. He didn't get up for several minutes and we were fearing the worst. Thank goodness he got to his feet although he was somewhat wobbly. We took him straight to the vet where he got a through examination. His face has a few cuts and he must have a terrible headache, but there are no broken bones. The vet recommended he stay somewhere he could be kept an eye on overnight....so he is staying with poorly Ruth...Andy has two patients to look after tonight! Bless him. Xxx Please Nick, don't ever do it to us again. Xxx
