Murph is settling in well, although whatever he can’t get his nose into, he wee’s on and whatever he can’t wee on, he sticks his nose into! All looking good for our future together.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Aw thank you Kate. Douggie has settled really well, he is a very good boy for a young pup, he is clean in the house, sleeps all night, walks beautifully on the lead and is great with other breeds. He and Dexter are getting along well, think Dexter is still missing Jack though. Bringing Douggie into our lives is helping us all cope with the massive hole that Jack left when he went to the bridge. Douggie makes us laugh with his quirky little ways and that's what we needed. Xxxxxxx

Sending lots of loves to Ruth and hoping she gets better soon....mommy has been taking me on lots of holibobs lately or working which means she hasn’t been able to visit the kennels recently but hopefully she will be popping in some treats this week before she goes on holiday without me (we are not happy about this but she has to take nanny to enjoy a hotter holibob on a plane sometimes!!)... we are still trying to convince daddy I want a brother but he is still saying no until he finishes work (we have our fingers crossed that’s soon)....we hope everyone had a fab time at GGG today and also wanted to say it is my big sisters 8th birthday on rainbow bridge today we just hope she is enjoying roaches, zoomies and a big bone with our other loved ones xxxx

Summer returned today! 🙂 Thank you to Andy for helping me with feeding and cleaning this morning. Ruth is still not feeling well. All the doggies send her lots of get well wishes. Xxx Roxy met her new sister Missy, they got on great together. 🙂 She then went off to start her new life with Debbie and her family. Everyone was very excited for her. Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. A big thank you to Sara for supplying the ice creams! We are running low on tins of fish and meat for our residents, If you are able to spare one or two next time you visit the kennels we would be so grateful. 🙂 We have two new girls arriving early next week....it would be great if some of our fab black boys could find their forever homes. We have many more on our waiting list waiting for their chance to go home too. Xxx

Nick is a very impressive hound and seems ready for just about anything. He is very easy to walk and a lovely, enthusiastic lad. Why he is one of our longest stayers is well beyond me.

Rose was the only hound left to take for a walk this afternoon and seemed less than impressed to see that she was going out with me! After a nervous start she relaxed and really enjoyed being out with the other hounds. Rose is a bit nervous at first but after spending time with her today I believe that she would soon adapt and flourish in a home of her own.

A great time with Marty today. We played a couple of games in his kennel (he ended up with all of the treats in my pocket!) then a walk down the lane. Marty really enjoys his walks.

Hello everyone. First off I would like to wish Auntie Ruth a speedy recovery. She does a wonderful job with us hounds along with her amazing team. My mummy and sister have been on what I call a ‘Barney shopping spree’. However I think they call it ‘spoilt hound spree’. There were loads and I mean LOADS of stuff for me. I heard my sister mention she got a few things for my Birthday. I’m dying to find out what it is but I’m not allowed to know until September 23rd! Maybe as the food pincher I am I might sniff them out! We will see. I also got a FREE bag of treats from Pets At Home too which was also for my birthday, I am very lucky boy. I got lots of other nice things too. I have my very own beer. Yes beer! I think I’ll be getting some tonight which is exciting. I hope I don’t get drunk. I got so many treats it as amazing. It’s been a great day! Barney Xx
